Work on this with us
We are a small lab, and we intend to stay deliberate about who joins it. We look for people who care about both technical depth and the human consequences of tools — and who want their work measured by what it makes other people capable of.
The work spans models, interfaces, evaluations, and infrastructure. Some of it looks like research, some like product, and much of it like the patient kind of engineering that never trends. All of it is in service of one standard: machines that return time and enlarge what people can do.
We care little about pedigree and a great deal about evidence of depth: a system you built and understood completely, a study you ran honestly, a hard thing you made simple. People who flourish here tend to be rigorous about claims, generous as collaborators, and quietly ambitious about what tools should make possible.
Open roles
Research Engineer
Turn research questions into systems that run, scale, and survive contact with real users.
Research Scientist
Design and run studies of capability and capacity. Publish what you find, including the inconvenient parts.
Product Engineer
Build the tools we put into real working rooms, end to end, and own what they teach us.
Design Engineer
Own the surfaces where people meet models. Make legibility, provenance, and restraint feel inevitable.
Infrastructure Engineer
Build the reproducibility, evaluation, and data systems that everything else stands on.
Operations / Lab Builder
Make a small lab run like a serious institution: people, process, and a thousand unglamorous, load-bearing things.
How to apply
No forms. Write to us at join@leisurelabs.ai. Tell us what you have built, what you are trying to understand, and what kind of future you think machines should make possible. Links to real work — code, papers, products, essays — beat any résumé.
